File open .dat file. Video-full processing mode,Video- compression divx. Audio- direct stream copy. File-Save As avi.
If it's a twoCD, make this for both .dat files, then you can join the two divx encoded avi files you created (VirtualDub open avi, append avi, video direct stream audio direct stream save as avi; it takes just a few minutes)
