how to fix Microsoft ADPCM Codec xp

i have a problem... try to install mechwarrior 4 vengance but when it begining to install is says ADPCM comp is missing.. anybody knows what that mean ? running windows xp pro

amd 1800+
512 ddr
geforce 3 with 40xx

I downloaded the demo version and played it straight away (XP pro O/S) and had no problems. Maybe you need to get an update of you sound card drivers (espicialy if i is is an uncomon brand or a VERY new sound card). normaly XP is very good at sorting this out for itself!

I think I will seark for more info via a search engin.
