I want to make a DVD with AC3

Ok...I have all the vob files ripped. Can someone please help me with my encoding. I get a lot of movies off the net and there encoding jobs are far superior to mine. Maybe i need a good guide to help me with this. I want to make just a general 2 CD rip with AC3 sound. Tell me what program i should use etc..Thanks.

ok Uncasm i have used your guide in the past and my rips turn out not so crisp, but i know it's something i am doing. For some reason every time i did the compressibility test it would finish with a low number and be highlighted red which i am assuming isn't good. And now i think i screwed somthing up because when i used your guide i tried to make a 2 cd rip and now it makes a rip that is 4 gig, excellent quality(), with no sound and it skips through the whole movie which is roughly 4 minutes long (i.e. we were soldiers). So i might try reinstalling gordionknot...But im also going to try and the guide given to me by Vert . If you guys know why my gordionknot does that feel free to tell me . Thanks.

This means that it's produceing uncompressed video. Reinstall divx5.

if i reinstall the nimo codec pack would that count as reinstalling divx 5 or should i just install divx 5 alone?

I think it's always better to install codecs individually, using the original installer. Instead of some third party repacked version that comes with a ton of stuff you don't need.

                objection your honour

Tsunamis Filterpack for example (396 was released some days ago) contains more stable filters and only the best codecs, whereas other installations of various different filters might soon lead to massive trouble, since many user do not know what to go for!

my downloads are being worked on this minute.

check back in a couple of hours.

i hope to be able to provide the brandnew filterpack 396 asap as well as tsunamis 396 MINI filterpack, which is 1.7mb in size and usefull for playback purposes.

the mini-pack supports all major formats:

                    File "AP4ds32.ax" (Angelpotion)
                    File "dedynamic.ax"
                    File "DivXa32.acm"
                    File "mpgdec.ax" (Elecard MPEG2 Decoder)
                    File "ffdshow.ax"
                    File "iviaudio.ax"
                    File "mpeg2decoder.ax" (Ligos Splitter)
                    File "mpeg2parser.ax" (Ligos Splitter)
                    File "mmswitch.ax"
                    File "OggDS.dll"
                    File "dsrmp4.dll" (RealMagic MPEG4)
                    File "SubTitDS.ax"
File "xcdsrc.ax" (Riff CDXA Mode 2)

it'll be the best choice for all those ppl who do not encode themselves but still want to be able to watch all kind of video formats!
