playing divx4 movies

i can't seem to get the audio to work in movies that are in divx4 codec format(i get the video to work ). all other divx formats work fine. i even downloaded divx pro and installed it but with no luck.

please help !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You need the proper audio codec to be able to play the file you have. In order to determine what codec is needed, open the file in Virtualdub and go to File -> File Information. Post what you see here.

A few possible sound formats you might try out:
1. MP3 (You shouldn't have any problem with this)
2. WMA (Downloading the codec directly from MS via WMP should do it)
3. OGG (You need the Ogg Direct Show Implementation)
4. AC3 (Install the AC3 codec from a codec pack. Alternatively, install a DVD player software, such as PowerDVD)
