TEMPGEnc freezing

My first visit
I think I came to you via RipHelp.com and followed their dvd to vcd guide and all went well till I tried to do the 2'nd cd from the timeline in merge and cut from m'peg tools, then TMPGEnc just freezes at the end of the audio track and won't start the merge.
I've tried many times and every time have to close tmpg with XP Pro task master, but on restart and reuse ot tmpg same always.
Rip was from DVD not net download, and all goe well till then.
Computer is P111 1000 with 256 ram.
