Install the older version 6.4 of Windows Media Player (Mplayer2.exe) on your XP system...

It's probably already there. It's called mplayer2.exe, try doing a search of your C drive.
Donate your idle CPU time for something usefull.

"winxp doesn't allow u to install mplayer 6.4"

Select Win98 compatability mode and ignore "potential error" messages...

hmmm got the old media player working but the video still doesn't play

when i use gspot it says i need truemotion 2.0 codec??

anyone know where i can find that?
still confused why 98 could run it if this codec is missing from xp

Uninstall the DivXG400 that was undoubtedly one of the items in the codec pack.

If that doesn't work, use the Sasami player for viewing. It allows "on the fly" flipping of the video.

Use "File search" to locate "Divxg400.ax" on your C: drive. Change the filename to "Divxg400.ay". Reboot your system...
