    Playing a VCD

    Hello.

    How I can play a VCD on my computer. I can't play it with my Media Player (Version 8) and with another player. I can play it under Windows 2000 not under XP. By another computer the VCd will be playing. Who can help me, please write it fast.

    Thank You
    My english is not very good.

    if you have a dvd rom then power dvd will play it...if not ..stick the disc in your cd rom..get " vcd gear gui " from vcdhelp.com..it will take the vcd movie and change it back into an mpeg on your puter for your media player.

      Try the following:

      1) Run your Windows Media Player

      2) Open your VCD's directory.

      3) Open the subdirectory named "MPEGAV".

      4) From the "MPEGAV" subdirectory, "drag and drop" the file named "AVSEQ01.DAT" onto the Media Player.

      5) Your VCD should start to play.

      Let us know of your success ;>}
