Uploaded a VHS movie, time to make it smaller.

I have been getting some of my VHS movies onto my PC using this thing called "Dazzle Digital Video Creator 80" . Theres a program that comes with it, but I guess the compression or something is horrible... a 10 second video is like 15 -20 mb, which is obviously insane.

The thing plugs in2 my USB port, then the other end can plug into my camcorders "out" port or something like that, point is its not firewire.

Can someone please either suggest a better program to use when I'm capturing the video, or a way to make the file size alot more compact once its done. File type is AVI by the way...

compress the avi to divx, read the guides at doom9.org and divx-digest.com
