Need help: I have a movie that plays audio only

Ok, I downloaded a 700meg movie from Kaaza and when I launch it in Mediaplayer it plays with audio sound and no picture (the screen just shows the annimated graphics things).

    My OS is XP home.

Is there anyway I can play this file with both picture and sound together?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

Load the file into virtual dub
    Go to:
    File > File information
And post EVERYTHING you see here.

You mave not have the needed codec or it could be a bad file..

Try downloading the latest divx and mpeg 4 codec's

Simply install the DivX 5.02 codec and you are set to go.

I already have DivX 5.02 installed, and the problem persists.

Maybe it somehow didn't install correctly? Is there any way I could check this?

Or is there anything else that could be causing the problem?

              Try this:
              1. Open file in Virtual/nandub
              2. Set both Video and Audio tabs to Direct Stream Copy
              3. Go to File -> Save as AVI... and give a name to the new file
              4. Try playing the new file

                To Barny

When you load the file into VirtualDub, click on the "Video" tab and select "Compression". Does the DivX v.5.02 appear in the list of available codecs? if not, you haven't properly installed it...
