avi to divx with virtual dub

I try to convert an avi file to a divx one following this page http://www.divx-digest.com/articles/avi2mpeg4_fr.html
with the virtual dub software but at point 8, I don't find "save extended avi"

Please, can you explain me how to make it ?

Hmmm

I don't understand a word on that page

But I feel quite confident that you should just select 'Save as AVI' instead.

EDIT:

But I think the guide is a bit messed up. points 2 and 3 should be transposed as should points 6 and 7. It simply does not make sense other wise.
