tv tuner recording

i am looking for a program that records from a tver card into avi with large formats (720x480 or something)

i tried windvr, powervcr, iuvcr and they work like crap. did i said i am on widows 2000 (someone said this count for somthing)?

so, what do you use?

I'm not sure which card you are using. But I have a Pinnacle PCTV Rave card and VDub said I could have problems capturing in over 320x240 but all you have to do is open the capture window choose the resolution you want (720x480) and then "Video-->overlay" and "Video-->Preview" may not be checked and then you should be able to capture in the high resolution.

Same problem

Have the same problem. Cannot capture more then 320 with virtual dub (using the Pinnacle PCTV Rave card), but can do more in the original recording tool from pinnacle. However, the codec provided there is crap.

Will return the card, not usefull for me.

Did you try to check "Capture"-->"Hide on capture" ?
