problem with xvid - no image... HELP!

I've got a divx -version of lotr-ttt, but there's no image when i play it.. the sound is fine, so i don't know what to do.
It's an xvid encoding so i dl the xvid codec, but that didn't work. Then i tried gspot, and it told me that the codec(xvid) was installed and should work fine, but it doesn't!

    IT BUGS ME!!! PLEASE HELP!!

Install Koepi's latest Unstable build (after removing whatever version that you currently have).

Download the registered version of powerdvd from Kazaa, make sure it's powerdvd 4.

You're right, he does need the codec. I don't know where he downloaded his version from but I would agree with you that he should remove the version he has since it may be corrupt and redownload it from Keopi's site. Mine plays well in Powerdvd 4.

you're right, of course, that powerdvd4 or windvd will play avi files.

still the important thing to do is: installing the correct codec.
only then will almost every player be able to play the file.

                no offence meant, alwaysblue
