    Single Pass with G-Knot

Cant seem to find it...Where is the setting to encode with G-Knot for only a single pass??

    I'm encoding some cartoons and I don't want to wait 14hrs for 2 pass encoding....slow cpu...lol

I've seen some single pass ripps that look pretty good. But I can't find the toggle...

there isnt (at least up to version 026

create your avs file - i.e. do all resizing + cropping

now load thi savs into virtualdubmod and select divx5 in the video => compression department

go for single pass there and let vd encode

ok i'm only partialy familiar with vdub so bear with me...you set the compression in video to divx5.02 pro... and select single pass in divx section what to do with the audio....do i need to create an mp3 stream first and when i have it where do i select the mp3 stream i want???

you will have to have the correct bitrate calculated for video + audio

this could be done in GK
simply write dwon the bitrate gk gives you when selecting you desired filesize and audiocompression

now in virtualdub you use the videobitrate that gk has calculated.

your sound file will have to be done seperately - which of course is the best way anyway!

afterwards you merge/mux that videostream and the audio stream(s).

if you want to know how to extract audio from your vob files and convert it to either mp3 or better ogg and finally mux audio + video, take a look at my guide (click the upper anigif in my signature)
