I have an .avi file with sound mp3 variable bitrate. There is an error (audio bad frames header). How can I repair this without audio out of synchronization? Now AVI in WMP has no sound.
Please help.
Try using DivFix. Otherwise, give this a try:
1. Open file in Virtual/nandub
2. Set both Video and Audio tabs to Direct Stream Copy
3. Go to File -> Save as AVI... and give a name to the new file
I try save audio as it from virtual dub and recompress using lame to constant bitrate mp3, but after recompress audio has not same length (87m52s x 87m12s). When I multiplex audio and video using virtual dub, audio was not synchronized...
1) In nandub (yes only in nandub because virtualdub don't support variable bitrate) I saved my audio as direct stream avi audio (by file\save wav). This file has length 88m31s as said Winamp 2.666. But movie was 87m52s length.
2) By program MP3Trim Pro (somewhere on the net) I opened corrupted wav (embedded MP3) and this program found errors:
"This file has one or more missing frame headers and might be corrupted. Make sure to check the trimmed result (using 'save as') before commiting any changes..."
So I save file by 'save as' and result was file that has length 87m51s (almost same as avi).
3) Finally I linked avi with new mp3 sound in nandub and it seems to be good (I search for audio shift at the end of file but all was OK).
Same result I obtained when I recompress wav from nandub (1) in Winamp using Lame plug-in as MP3 CBR 128 Kbits (87m51s).
DivFix don't help me.
My idea is that both MP3Trim Pro and Winamp removed corrupted frames from audio (fortunately there was only 4 corrupted frames - as told me DivFix...).
Oh, and sorry for my crazy english... (I am from Czech republic.)
