    Help Newby here

Hi I am new and need some help. I want to convert a mpeg file so it can be played by a dvd player. I am not too sure what to do or what programs I need to do this.

I burnt the mpeg to a cd and when my friend tried to play it on her dvd it wouldn't work. How do I convert them to the right format.

A reply would be very appreciated.

    Thank you

If it is an mpeg-1 file burn it as a vcd in NERO or VCDEASY (freeware).

If it is an mpeg-2 file burn it as an svcd in NERO or VCDEASY.

www.dvdrhelp.com has very detailed information on burning, authoring, and converting.

How do I convert the mpeg

Sorry still a bit confused should I convert the mpeg file before burning to a cd?

The file that is on the cd is avesg01 in the mpegav file on the cd and the vcd file contains entries.vcd and info.vcd.

I am really new to this sorry.

      Thank you

If your files are in MPEG-1 and you want to burn it to a VCD (which can play in most new standalone DVD players you don't need to convert anything. Just used nero and make a Video CD
