    check your 'c:\windows\system32' directory
that file should be in there, if it is you may need to copy it to the program directory that you are trying to run.
if the file is not there just do a search on google for the dll and you should be able to find a site to get it from.

ok i did what you said and install a missing dll file.but now i get this message:
the file is conected to the missing output MFC42.DLL:6874

      what does that mean?
can you also explain this to me:To add .ocx and certain .dll files, run WINDOWS/SYSTEM/REGSVR32.EXE from the command line. The following are the command you will need:

regsvr32 dll name or ocx name

      Example: regsvr32 msvcp60.dll

      thanks

i have to say...i have never heard that error message before.

and where did you read that stuff about adding a dll or ocx? you shouldn't have to do that in this case, you should just be able to copy it into the folder, you may need a restart but i'm not sure.

ok...right click on my computer->properties->hardware->device manager
check if there are any warnings on any of the devices.

so did you run this command?

              regsvr32 msvcp60.dll

btw there will hardly be anything wrong with your hardware.

                more about that.....

Hey alex04- anything further regarding your problem with the eo video player?
ps- I didn't understand what UncasMS was suggesting to you. You posted about missing MFC42.DLL and yet he questioned you about whether or not you ran a "command" about : regsvr32 msvcp60.dll, without any further explanation.

Hope you will post back with some followup.
