    Video Capture

    Hi everyone

Does anyone know of a good capture program that will work with an ATI TV Wonder? I've tried the free Brooktree drivers and Virtual Dub but end results were unacceptable( Too many dropped frames). ATI's MMC 7.1 doesn't support much by way of different resolutions, And i cannot get MMC 7.6 to work.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

To avoid "dropped frames" in Virtualdub capture with a lossless codec such as huffyuv (Requires lots of hdd space though) and then later convert to another format.

Thanks for the help i'll give it a try. It's the one thing i didn't think of. Don't need a whole lot of HDD space I only may capture up to 6 minutes at a time(music videos)

Direct divx/mpeg capturing can be quite cpu consuming, to avoid this problem, it's much better to capture uncompressed and then convert.
