a little help here

I have the lastest version of KaZaA Lite and I donwloaded a movie but its still in .dat format. Anyone out there that can help I aprreciate it.

Try loading the file in a media player such as BSPLAYER or WMP 6.4

If its still in .dat format then that means its still a partial file, so it must not yet be complete. You can try previewing it in kazaa lite, but to view it in a player like WMP it must be complete.

that is not strictly true, .dat is also the file association for the mpeg part of a vcd
try opening it in media player, if that works convert it to mpeg using somthing like VCDgear

you can see if Kazaa Preview Extractor still thinks that is being downloaded. And play it.

thanks guys but I got it to work now.I had to reopen kazaa lite.

You should also create a subject title that is reflective of your post, instead of a general "dude I need help...."
