    tmd to mpeg prob

Ok guys, simple problem, hopefully simple answer.

I've been using tmpgenc to convert my avi movies to mpeg so i can make VCDs. Had no trouble with the normal good ol divx dvd rips, everything went fine.

But when I tried to convert some TMD (the movie distro) movies to mpeg, all I got was a black screen. Also whenever I would first start it, it gave me an estimated completion time of 15 minutes or so, but normally it takes like "real time" to complete the conversion. I can watch the movies fine in their normal state, but after attempting to convert i cant.

TMD didnt seem to know what the problem was, so im here to ask some experts.

As I said earlier post the "file information" of your problematic files from Virtualdub.

If you can't view the file on your PC you won't be able to view it in your dvd player either.

          "Parsing interleaved mpeg file"
          then
after that was done or whatever it was just a black screen in virtualdub still, i tried watching it in virtualdub but it didnt work.

Does Virtualdub tell you what compression was used? Do you use FFDSHOW for playback?

when i opened it up with gspot it said
              Video Codec: MPEG Video Decoder

i dont understand how to use that FFDSHOW program.
