converting divx to mpeg

what is the best program for converting a divx file back to mpeg

first of all, divx is a type of mpeg4.
if you want a .mpg file (I don't know what kind of encoding) try tmpgenc. That will make vcd compliant .mpg files.

That's right, MPEG files can be MPEG2(SVCD/DVD) format or MPEG1(VCD) format.

The tool that I have and I love it was EOvideo ! It's very easy to use.
