Anybody know how to extract 2.1GB winrar file?

It doesn't go beyond 2 GB, I wonder what other program do?

You have experienced the limitations of older Mircrosoft (Dos based) OS's where the file size cannot exceed 2 gb. You will need to switch to Windows XP if you wish to extract this file.

there is NO 2gb restriction in win98 for example.

IIRC it is a limitarion of the FAT32 system.

The FAT32 limitation regarding filesize is 4 Gigs...

If you follow this link, it states that the limitation for the Fat system is 2 gb.


You will need the FAT32 (which Setarip and Uncas correctly indicated is 4 gb) or NTFS.
