Encoding Problem, Audio Out Of Sync

    Howdy,

Just beening capturing some movies from the satellite and trying to encode them, I've encoded heaps before, but I've found now that when I do the audio is out of sync, I'm using a DC10PLUS to capture, the actual captured files when played uncompressed are fine, but when I drop them into Virtual Dub and load the, Divx Low Motion Video Compression 1800k/bits and 100% crispness and the Mpeg Layer Audio Compression 128kbit 44hz 16bitstearo, running at 640x480 everything seems to be file the video looks file the audio comes out fine BUT the audio is out of sync, I've since downloaded some other codecs and trying them at present, just wondering if anyone that is into capping can give me some advice on how to get passed this problem or another way of doing the encoding.

    Regards,

Are you certain that you're actually capturing the movies with both uncompressed video and audio? I ask because a totally uncompressed 90 minute video would probably be greater than 30 Gigabytes in size.

If, in fact, you are capturing in some compressed video format, the additional compression with DivX may be what's throwing off the synchronization.

Use the virtual dub --> interleaving , in order to synchronize the sound with the movie
