    Codec to compress diagrams

    Hello

I'm loooking for a codec that is suited to compress Technical animations.

This mostly are mavies with 2 axes a white background and a line that is moving around in the frame.

If i use normal divx, then there appear some artefacts near to the line. And the line itself gets unsharp.

Does anybody know a codec, that has been made to compress such kind of movies?

Or does anyone know how to set the Parameters in any Divx to compress this movies reasonably?

Or how would you compress movies similar to this:

Flash would probably give you the best result, although it won't be easy to automatically "convert" your data to flash

Practically every video codec is essentially pixel-based, while your type of video would benefit more from a vector-based approach (which Flash does, although it's not exactly a codec).

      Animated Postscript

      yeah u are right.

For the would it be possible to make a Codec, that could animate a series of Vector-Command.

I think the decoder wouldnt be dificult, it just convert the Vector-Data to Pixel-Data.

But the encoder would be the Problem.

Perhaps you could Program something that compresses a series of PS Files to a code.

      could this be possible???
