    Can't play region restricted WMV

Is there anyway to bypass that restriction? I am thinking that changing my computer's regional setting to the appropriate region would do the trick but this (changing the region setting back and forth) would be a pain in the butt. Better yet, I am looking for a tool to strip that restriction.

Did you try playing the file back with a different program? WMP and Winamp3 come to mind.

I guess microsoft's encryption is hard to bypass

The only thing that will play it is windows media player. However, windows media player displays an invalid region message when ever I tried to play it. I have tried to play it with BSplayer but it just wouldn't even recognize the format.

I think you confuse wmv with wma. WMV is video format. WMA is audio file format. I only heard that Winamp3 can play WMA.
