    DVD question

    Ok say I own the movie "The MAtrix" and I have a dvd burner. Can I burn the matrix onto a dvd-r and then play it on m dvd player?

      No. you first have to "rip" (eliminate copy protection) and then, if you're duplicating a double-layered DVD, convert/compress - then burn...

          What do you mean by eliminate copy protection and isn't every dvd double layered. Please explain how I would go about doing this

              I'd suggest that you click on the link to "DVD Digest" (NOT "DVDR Digest") at the top of this page - and read some of the excellent tutorials and download ripping software. Afterwards, you can then click on the link to "DVDR Digest" and read about and download compressing software and burning software...
