What is virtualdubmod??

please explain following steps:

- open file in virtualdubmod

- scan VIDEO for errors

- save to new file (audio + video: direct stream copy)

1) Download and install the video editing/capture program VirtualDubMod

2) From the "File" dropdown menu, select "Open File" - and select your file for loading

3) Select "Scan for errors"

4) Set BOTH "Video" and "Audio" to "Direct Stream Copy"

5) Save with a new filename

doesn't work

did everything but ended up with a smaller byte size of the avi file but error remains still (movie stops)....
