    Alternative to TMPGE???

hi, I seem to be having an enormous amount of problems lately encoding with TMPGE, I had downloaded their latest version 5.5.11 and always seem to come up with with one error or another during encoding, I had better success with their previous versions. I was wondering if anyone has had similiar problems and if any of you use other programs to encode to vcd and svcd??
I got rid of TMPGE because of the 0% success rate and their previous versions won't accept serial key

"their previous versions won't accept serial key"

Warez and crackz are not discussed at these forums...

        What you can use...

Hi! I've got an exellant tip for you. Use a prog called DaViDeo 2. If you want to encode VCD or SVCD very quicky, just try it. (for a demo version visit the developer's site (GData) or use the site of a big computer magazin/software network)
I've encoded a 2h movie in about 4h15mins in very good MPEG2(SVCD)quality and I'm very satisfied with it.
i hope this post was a little helpful 4 you!
        See ya if ya want!

When I first started out i used avi2mpeg. But it takes full time of the movie to convert or maby longer because it converts it frame by frame.

Geeze...we have lords of the computers and digital gods around here...I DEMAND AN UPGRADE! hehehe. Anyway, I don't know if any of you guys might be interested, or even if it may have some application to the work you are doing here...but I was experimenting with one of those "it can't be dones" trying to import raw DVXCEL LPCM capture (8000kbps) into TMPGenc and discovered that by lopping off the video header and converting the audio stream to mp2 I could feed them into the main window of TMPGenc, and by rendering a DVD using CQ was able to get superb quality at a size roughly 1/3 the capture (and DVD's made any other way) which meant I could get a three hour movie on one disc (and heavy metal and pocohantes on one disc together as a data file). If you're interested I made a how-to post ine the Dazzle DVC-150 General Forum "Render/Shrink VHS Capture using TMPGenc."

What is in PM doesn't mean that it is illeagal. Why don't you just be quiet if you have nothing to help with.
