What are the properties of the avi
With what do you play it
Which codecs do you have installed
What are your computer specs
What OS

The more you tell the better we can look for an answer. I have never seen this message

Did you try to type the message in a Google search (dunno if this would help, but it can't hurt to try )

Never mind i found it , this codec is made by intel

Video clips created with Intel® Scene Recorder and Intel® Record Video

and the name of the file is codinstl.exe
