    ASF conversion?

    is there a way to convert asf file to divx? what is asf any way?

      ASF is a codeq devised by the evil microsoft corperation to give us great compression with almost impossible converting. What you need to do is first rip the audio track off. you can fild a program that will do exactly that on divx-digest.com. Next load the asf file into TMPGEnc and use the .wav file as the audio and the ASF file as the video. This converts is to MPEG1 and it should be pretty easy going from there on...

          Download and install any OLDER version of VirtualDub - version 1.3C or older - which will accept .ASF files for input and direct conversion to DivX- compressed .AVI...
