Problem with AC3 codec

Hi,

I am trying to play an mpeg file that supposedly has ac3 sound/

When I use windows media player it just comes up with a dialogue box saying unknown error.

When I run it though gspot it reports all the codecs are there, but when I run it though avicodec it reports Audio : 166 MB, 384 Kbps, 48000 Hz, 5 chan., 0x2000 = AC3 DVM, Unsupported

can anyone help

It would appear that you have to install an .AC3 codec/filter...
