    Help With XP

I am runing Windows XP and am having a few problems when ripping/encoding a DVD. I can rip the VOB files easily enough but when I encode them in Flask 0.594 I get to about 50% before it says 'illegal operation' and shuts Flask down. Do I need to download the latest version of Flask (0.6) to encode properly on XP or is it another problem.
Also, can anyone tell me of a ripper/encoder that doesn't use up any hard drive space when ripping/encoding because I have two computers and the one without XP only hase a two gig hard drive.

    Thanks

    Rob Hawke.

You could try XMPEG, you may have more luck with that.

I think everyone would like software that dosen't use HD space. Unfortunatley it's impossible, the programs have to have somewhere to store the data, and RAM isn't enough. I also think you may be sadly disappointed trying to rip a DVD onto a 2GB disk, what with VOB's plus the final AVI pushing upto 8GB.
