    avi file size

    i got a cam using it to monitor my office.
    its a generic model so manufactorer is unknown, it cam with videopole (software to use the cam).

    there is no sound
    i used 1 fps
    the resolution is 352 228
    file type avi

    my prob is software ask for how much space i wana allocate for the file, so i need to know how big the file must be if i wana record for 12hrs

    thx in advance for anyhelp you may provide, sugjestions of capture software r welcome also

    When working with AVI you can plan on 12-14 GB/hour.

        One frame per second is eqivilent to a fast slide show.

          i guess that res is really 352x288
          you should use indeo5 compressor set at 85% quality
          3600frames in 1 hour is like 240 sec of avi at 15fps
          25/30 mb

          300/350mb for 12 hours....
