It is not only your burner .................also your brand of cd-r's have to have the capability to be burned at those speeds.
I don't know why, but i burn my vcd's at 4 times (my burned and disks can go up to 16)
One time i read about a problem and the solution regarding that one was to burn at a lower speed
So i'm kind of hesitating to go to a higher speed - i hate to waste cd-r's to try
But i'm interested in the facts ................so if the low burning speed is just a fabel, then i would love to hear about it
