    ..::strange lines::..

    this is the second DVD rip i've done so i new to this but i was wondering if anyone knows why when ever i rip a DVD to DivX i get little lines on the finished movie, it's only when there is some thing moving though, still frames look fine but if there is the slightest movment tiny little lines apear only around the moving person / object.

    Sorry if didn't explain it well but i don't know what you would call it really

    to rip and encode i use
    Smartripper [ripping the DVD]
    DVD2AVI [extract the audio and make .d2v file]
    VFAPI Reader Codec [make lil avi from the .d2v file]
    VirtualDub 1.4.9 [to encode with DivX 5 Pro & Mix the Audio & Video]

    Looks like an interlacing artifact, which is easily solved with the use of a deinterlacer.
