    crashing princos

    i have a05 with ver 1.30 firmware i burn useing nero what happens is the movie will stop abot 3/4 the way through lockup on set top dvd but in my a05 or my a03 it plays all the way through, now it looks like it stops on older plays but it also stoped on my sister-outlaws tosheiba about a year old anyone else seen this problem is it the disk,the burning software, or the putor

    If you search the doom9.org forum you will discover that the majority consensus is that Princo media is generally of low quality and that quality control is non-existent.

      hey batman where is gothem city clevland oh claims to be where batman & robin would do there building walk or are you old enough to remember ??? oh yes back to the subject i have some 4x media(princo) that seems to work i don't get the errors that i did with 2x media what happens is 3/4 the way through the movie it starts breaking up then finaly stops i can advance the chapter it may start it may not, but that same (disk) movie will play on a apex deck or ones like it but older sonys stop ??? same disk on my putor drive no problem so this is not totaly bad media(i think)

        -Try burning at lower speeds (1x if necessary)
        -Older players may have issues with dvd-r playback
        -Make sure you author the dvd properly (the procedure and software you use may impace the playabality on stand alones). For this I would recommend you read the doom9.org guides and search the forum there for procedures and tips.

        If you want to see if it is a media issue you can try burning the same problematic movie on a dvd-r/rw from another brand (such as Verbatim, Maxwell, or Taiyo Yuden) and see if the standalone exhibits the same problems.

        And yes I do live in Cleveland, on 123 fakestreet. My phone number is 555-bats. My interests apart from crimefighting include calculus and physics. I particularily enjoy to multi-variable calculus.
