freezing

hey guys i use easy video joiner and easy video splitter,,i split and joined some mpegs and avi's the avi's play back fine,,,but the mpegs are freezing at the joined points,,i have deleted the original files already,,is there anything to repair this,,i rencoded to vcd and burned one file and it still froze during playback in my dvd player,,,,,thanks for any help in advance

Try merging the files using VirtualDub

ok,,but what can i do to fix the old files,with the frame glitches in them?????plus i've used easy video split and join many times and have had no trouble untill now.. thanks
