    How to change the fps

    Hey, I got this movie and the fps for the movie is 14.988, I need to change that to the standard.. (23.976, or 25, or 29.97).. Can any body tell me how to change it?

    Thanks

    If it's in .AVI format (DivX-compressed or otherwise):

    1) Load file into VirtualDub

    2) Set BOTH "Video" and "Audio" to "Direct Stream Copy"

    3) From the "Video" dropdown menu, select "Framerate"

    4) Select "Change framerate to" and enter the desired framerate

    5) Click on "OK"

    6) Save with a new filename

    Let us know of your success ;>}

        What is your reason for changing the frame rate? I do not recommend changing the frame rate of a video unless there is a serious need for it. You will run into problems, one of them being off-synch. audio. Secondly, you will not see any difference in the "smoothness" of the video even if you changed the frame rate to 29.97fps.
