Video Editing

Ok for those who have saw Star Wars Episode 2 you know the THX intro? Ok what I want to do is edit that. I have already ripped it off the DVD so I have both the VOB file and the enocded AVI file. I want to edit it so it takes off the Lucasfilm and THX and say's whatever I want it to say.

Can anyone suggest a program to do such editing on frames?

Any video editor.
Probably the free on in XP will work.

If you have the AVI file can't you use TMPGEnc and select the Source Range, then cut out the sections you don't want?
