I have some collectors edition VHS tapes (yeah, old hat I know) and I wanted to capture them to a digital format to save keep playing the tapes.
I have a 1800+ AMD home build machine with a Nvidea 128MB graphics card with built in video input.
I have connected my video machine through the composite and line-in ports and tried to capture the movie using Intervideo's DVD creator. the capture shows fine while capturing, but when I play the file back, the midle third of the screen is a large white stripe
A friend lent me scenalizer, but that doesn't pick up my capture card.
I can capture VHS recorded from the TV perfectly.
Does anyone know if this is some sort of copyright protection, or an incompatability with my software/hardware?
Or any sugestions on how I could possibly capture my movie?
I really like the film and don't want to wear out my limited edition copy
Thanks
