but all my Players Crach wenn i open the file
.. could you please define 'all my players' a bit ? I am not aware of any crash problems with our DirectShow parser ??
EDIT : are you by chance still on Windows 9x/ME ? The installer of 'The Edge' should detect this automatically and install the non-unicode version of our DShow parser then ... but maybe its broken :O ??

I assume the file was corrupted during download. To check, please download VirtualdubMod, first the full installer package for 1.5.1.1a , extract it to a folder, and then replace the virtualdubmod.exe in this folder with the latest version of it ( to be found on the last line of the download page, i guess its called 'bugfix release' or the like ) .... and run it ....
Then open your MKV file in VirtualdbMod and see what the result from the parsing process is. If it scans the file without any errors, det 'video' to 'direct stream copy' and safe the file as a new file with another name.
Let us know what it does ...

Thats normal in latest build, its not a bug, but a feature ... but what about the MKV parsing process when opening the file, did it work fine ? Any error messages ? What happens if you save the file to a new .mkv with another name ( dont forget to set video to 'direct stream copy' ) ? Can you play the file then ?
