    audio problem with cut .divx file

    I used virtualdub to cut my .divx file because it was too big to fit on one cd. I followed the cutting AVI guide to the letter. The problem is there is a constant popping sound when i start playback. The video is great but the the popping is annoying as hell.

    upgrade your virtual dub to version 1.4.8 ;that should take care of the audio problems.

    Let us know if this solution works for you

        If you are CERTAIN that the original .AVI did not exhibit this "popping" sound, I'd suggest that you try using the time proven VirtualDub v.1.4D.

            Wait a second - Are you saying you ONLY hear the popping if you PLAY the video in VirtualDub? If so, as we used to say in Brooklyn, "FAWGEDDABOUDIT!" Wgo cares? VDub is not intended to be a primary player.

            As long as it plays with clear sound on "normal" players, be happy ;>}
