    Direct recording to CD

I try to direct recording from mic / line in to a blank CDR using STOMP Record Now Max v4.0, but it doesn’t work. It said that my CDRW drive doesn’t support 1x writing, my CDRW drive is Yamaha 8424. I try with NeroMix v1.3; it warns me “Recording from Line-In to CD is not supported.”

Please tell me if you know the program that can do direct recording to CD from Line-In.

    Thanks..

    could you avoid "direct recording"?
just record into .wav then burn: you only lose the time to save the .wav and the burning process.

If you use a cd-rw, the writer only supports 2x and higher. If you use a cd-r it may be an too old driver or firmware.

To BoF: I do ordinary recording to hdd first if I'm work on my house / I have much time. I'll do direct recording in my church and have to work fast to duplicate it in a lot of copies (my Pastor's speech) Thanks for your idea BoF.. Maybe I should try it : )

To benderman: Yes I used CDRW to record with STOMP and it said like that. Maybe I should try it on CDR with a new version of STOMP or have a new CDRW driver. Thanks for your explanation...

so an HDD recording would serve you very much better.
once an image is created you can duplicate it much faster
than using a direct cd recorded cd as a source!!!!

I recommend feurio! to do so.or for line in recordings audio grabber!
