    Splitting video file

    I have several movies on my hard drive that i would like to burn on cd so i can free up some space on my hard drive, the only problem is the files are too large and they won't fit on a cd. Does anyone know of any software that will allow me to split the movie file in two.

    What formats (.AVI, DivX-compressed .AVI, Mpeg1, Mpeg2, .Mov, etc.) are the videos in?

      Ive got the same problem. I converted a DVD to SVCD however it came out at 1.2 Gig, I need something that will split the file in half so I can burn it.

          Use TMPGEnc (From the "File" dropdown menu, select "MPEG Tools, then click on the "Merge & Cut" tab).

          Let us know of your success ;>}
