    MPEG2 Problems

I recently have downloaded a mpeg2 movie (700+mb), it was a svcd and it also came in a .bin , so i mounted the bin image with Daemon Tools and then loaded the movie, but with whatever media player i try to play this with, this what happens:

    1. loads player
    2. trys to load movie
    3. closes player with no reason

    Players I tried:

    1. Windows Media Player 9
    2. DivX Player 5.0.5
    3. Elcard MPEG2 Player 2.1

    Am using WindowsXP

Also, I ran a movie that was also an MPEG2, that was a SVCD and had to mount it cuz it was a .bin, and it worked fine.

BTW, I ran this movie on my bro's PC which has linux with that MPlayer program, it worked fine. BUT I wanna watch the movie on my PC, cuz my bro is always busy and I don't wanna wait any longer to see this.

So what am I supposed to do???
    Any help would be nice

Nope, I didn't think that would matter since it works just fine on the other computer.

But I will try.. what am I supposed to convert it to?

i had the same problem and after installing god knows how many codecs i just gave up and converted to mpeg1 (funny thing is my comp will now play mpeg2 files). Have you got any dvd software on, powerdvd, windvd etc, these can sometimes play them.
