    Capture codec for asus live

Can asus live on a v7100 be forced to accept additional codecs? I tried a pegasus download but it doesn't appear on the available list (8 bit palettized, 16 bit rgb, 24 bit rgb, uyvy and asus video 2.0).

From what I've seen, the provided ASUS ASV2 "locked" codec (included with the ASUS Live!software) is about as good as it gets in the realm of "lossless" codecs.

You can always use VirtualDub (or one of its variants) to compress the video afterwards...

      Thanks Setarip,
Do you think a seperate capture card would offer significantly better quality?
I was looking at leadtek products as comberman and others liked their combo cards.
