burning softwares / DVD players compatibility list

    Hi all.

Because some "Digital Video Forums" members seem to have problems finding what burning software would be the most compatible with their DVD players, I decided to add a list at DVDShrink.info:

Please submit your own successful experience.

Note: this topic has already been posted at the DVD Shrink sub-forums, but I thought this could be helpful whether you use DVD Shrink or not.

Pioneer DVR105 with Veritas Record Now Deluxe 4.50 - Works Great
Pioneer DVR105 with Nero 5.5.10.52 - Works Great

However, its prudent to note that there are various settings that need to be applied to make these forms of burning work. For both forms, the DVD files should be put inside a VIDEO_TS folder.
In Nero: BUrn VIDEO_TS folder in DVD ROM (UDF/ISO) mode
In Record Now: Burn VIDEO_TS folder in Data Mode, close TOC and no multisession.

I have a overburning problem with 5.5.10.50 and 6.0.0.15. This bug is fixed in 5.5.10.52, but can't find this version. Can you help me, please?

        Thx.

Sorry - i meant 50, not 52. I actually use 42 still! With overburning, are you sure that your drive supports it?

            Ok, thx.

Yes Sony DW U10A is supported.
Many of my friends have the same problem with overburning or burning discs with around 700 MB. I have read in an other board that in version 52 this bug is fixed.

I have downgraded to version 42 and all is OK. I will wait for next version.

            Thanks.

I never went up to 50 since i found 42 to be adequate. I find that if it works, dont change it, to be a good moto

Your motto is: Never change a running system.
That is a very good motto.

It sure is - never change it if it works. Unless you need to upgrade spec etc...

in other words, you dont get rid of a hen laying golden eggs

as for nero, i still find v5.5.9.0 useful

                          Hi all.

MPS, I have burned 6 DVDs with burnatonce, and so far no problem.

                          I also made a guide.
