    hi again

    thansk to all how help me with my problems
    i am using ulead movie maker to make mpeg videos and avi files
    play on my standalone dvd player.

    but some movies that seem to be only 3.9 or 4.1 gb don't burn to dvd-r

    it goes alll night converting then as its burnning it will say not enough space on disk????? why why why!,, its 4.7 GB DVD-R!!!!!

    Actually there's only 4.38 GB usable space on a 4.7GB disc ( due to a different way of calculating GB's). I've had Sonic MyDVD refuse to burn 3.9GB files, too...I guess because it includes a lot of it's own extraneous garbage in the body of the DVD. If MovieMaker is anything like ULead Video Studio7 you can run through the DVD burn proceedure, deselect the burner and have it build the Video and Audio TS files that you can import into DVDShrink (Freeware available on this site), shrink a GB off and import that back into ULead and see if it will burn a 2.9GB file.
