about rmvb file

Can somebody let me know what is the difference between an rmvb file and rm file in terms of features that it provides?

As long is I know there is no differente it just depends on the person who endoced it. Some like to neame it rm and others rmvb. But I genneral rmvb files look 'nices' and are better quality so maby they use rm for lower quality and rmvb for higher quality.
