I've fallen pray to this bug too.
Bottem line, use Nero 5.5.10.42 or Nero 6.0.0.11 if you need to write an oversized disc.

yeah just burnt a 720 mb cd
with nero 6.0.0.11 and i liked this version not going to update when it works 
, though i failed to burn the cd, till i found i was doing it on track at once but not disk at once mode 
Seems like as soon you buy somehing, v. 2 comes out 1.5 times as fast!..!
