There are many posts on how to convert from NTSC to PAL or viceversa. Check the forums at www.DVDRhelp.com and serch for PAL to NTSC conversion

U need to convert from DVD(mpeg 2) to DV format. usually and than separate the sound from the video, convert the framerate and pixel aspect ratio (with TMPGEnc) and merge the audio back (maybe with some pitch change due tot he difference in frame rate. For details and tools see http://www.dvdrhelp.com/forum/userguides/78178.php

There is also a simpler but costly solution. I did not try it out yet.if your input files are already avi/DV format you can use a conveter from www.DVunlimited.com but it will place a watermark accross the center of your image until you purcase it for around $100.

        Hope it helps.

check the net on your DVDplayer......
some dvdplayer firmware can be manipulated into region free
by entering a special code with your remote control.....

otherwise you really have to reencode.....

            good luck!!

              Region free

No probs i got the code to make it region free but i prefer it the way it is so i know that it will only play copies that are either region free or pal : ie if i know the copy works on this one i know it will work on any player the lads have at work cos some of their players only play region free or pal copoies
              cheers
